World Cup Passport (“we”, “us”, the “Game”) is a free, daily browser game. This policy explains what information we collect when you play, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We try to collect as little as possible.

Information We Collect

• Game progress. Your guesses, streak, and earned stamps are stored locally in your browser (local storage) on your own device. We do not require an account, and we do not collect your name or email unless you choose to contact us.
• Usage analytics. We use PostHog, a privacy-conscious product analytics tool, to understand how the Game is used (for example, pages viewed, puzzles started and completed, and approximate device and browser type). This may include your IP address, which is used to derive approximate location and is not used to personally identify you.
• Cookies & similar technologies. Analytics tools may set cookies or use local storage to recognize returning visitors and measure usage. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

• operate, maintain, and improve the Game;
• understand which features and puzzles are popular;
• diagnose technical problems and prevent abuse; and
• respond to messages you send us.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data to serve targeted advertising.

Service Providers

We share limited data with trusted service providers who help us run the Game, such as our analytics provider (PostHog) and our hosting provider. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Your Choices & Rights

You can clear your game progress at any time by clearing your browser’s local storage for this site. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA, UK, or California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. Children

The Game is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be reflected on this page.
